Colors by Laura K: Grip and Sip

Well, it's another week and I am already exhausted!  I know most of you can agree that if we were just left alone to sleep, no alarms, no work, no children, then we could probably sleep for a week.  Luckily, for some people, yesterday was a day off from work and this will be a short one for them, all it meant for me was no nail mail or post man stalking.  Fortunately, today my mailman finally made his way to me and I have a new beauty to bring to you.

Today I received my first ever Colors by Laura K., Grip and Sip, and she is a beauty!  Grip and Sip is described as "pinkish/purple scattered holo with a blue iridescent sheen. This color dries semi-smooth (it kind of feels like an eggshell) so a good topcoat is recommended."  I applied three coats and the application was smooth, flawless and trouble free.  I took Laura's advice and used a nice thick top coat, Butter London Quick Topcoat, which smoothed any textured finish.  My mailman must have been jam packed since there wasn't mail yesterday, and he made it to me very late in the afternoon so I made sure to run out and catch what sun I could... Take a look.

 

I have a soft spot for purple holos and this one really surprised me, the first coat was very light but the second and third were stunning.  Grip and Sip catches the sun so well and the sparkle, shine and rainbow holo effect are jaw dropping.
